India Pak Tension: Additional forces deployed outside Red Fort and Qutub Minar

India Pak Tension: In response to growing tensions between India and Pakistan, security measures have been increased throughout the country. In the national capital, Delhi Police have increased security around the city’s historic sites.
According to reports, Delhi Police has deployed additional forces near the Red Fort and Qutub Minar. Officials stated that this step has been taken as a precautionary measure, and the areas are under surveillance via CCTV cameras.
Police noted that security around historical monuments is usually strict, but in view of the ongoing border tensions, security has been further strengthened in different parts of Delhi as well.

It is worth mentioning that a large number of tourists visit these historic sites daily, which is another reason for the enhanced security measures by Delhi Police.
Indian Army officials stated that the Pakistani armed forces carried out multiple attacks across the western border during the midnight hours of May 8 and 9, using drones and other weapons.
Pakistani forces also routinely violated the ceasefire (CFV) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement from the Indian Army, the drone assaults were successfully repulsed, and the ceasefire violations were met with a forceful retaliation. The Indian Army is dedicated to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Army further stated that all hostile actions would be met with firm retaliation. On Thursday night, India successfully thwarted Pakistan’s attempts to target military stations in Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, and a few other locations.
In its counteroffensive, not only were drones and missiles destroyed, but India also shot down Islamabad’s Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft — a significant blow to Pakistan’s aerial surveillance and battlefield coordination capabilities.
