India rejects Pakistan’s false claims about military strikes, warns against escalation

The Indian Air Force has denied Pakistan’s recent false claims of having damaged key Indian military installations, calling it part of a deliberate and ongoing misinformation campaign.
In a special media briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said Pakistan has been spreading false information on social media, claiming it destroyed several Indian military assets. These include the airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa, the artillery gun positions at Dayarangyari, the BrahMos missile station at Nagrota, the S-400 air defense system at Adampur, and the advanced ammunition depot near Chandigarh.
“India unequivocally rejects these false narratives being spread by Pakistan,” she said.
Wing Commander Singh also pointed to increased activity along the Line of Control. She said Pakistan has attempted multiple air intrusions using drones and has carried out shelling with heavy artillery guns, specifically targeting civilian infrastructure. These attacks have resulted in civilian deaths.

Heavy exchanges of mortar and small arms fire have continued in areas such as Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, and Akhnoor and the Indian Army, has responded in a firm and proportionate manner, inflicting significant damage on Pakistani positions.
The Pakistani military has been seen relocating soldiers to forward locations, she said, suggesting readiness for greater escalation.
India’s armed forces, she said, are maintaining a high level of operational readiness. “All hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded to appropriately,” she stated.
