Pre-monsoon showers have brought much-needed relief to Delhi and NCR, but the weather isn’t done yet. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the week, cautioning residents about possible thunderstorms, lightning strikes, strong winds, and soaring humidity.

IMD Warns of Heavy Rain

The IMD expects intense weather on June 25 and 26, predicting heavy rain, loud thunderstorms, and winds reaching 30 to 40 km/h. These conditions may flood roads and slow down traffic. Authorities urge people to prepare for delays, start their journeys earlier than usual, and stay equipped with umbrellas.

Forecasters Expect More Thunderstorms by Weekend
As the weekend approaches, meteorologists warn of another round of thunder and lightning on June 28 and 29. The IMD has advised residents to stay indoors during stormy periods and avoid exposed areas to reduce the risk of lightning strikes.

Even though the rain has cooled things slightly, temperatures will likely stay between 34°C and 36°C during the day and 26°C to 28°C at night. Humidity could spike as high as 90%, creating sticky and uncomfortable afternoons despite the showers.
