In Mumbai, the illegal construction at a pub involved in a hit-and-run case was demolished.

On Wednesday morning, city officials demolished parts of the Vice-Global Tapas Bar, which had served alcohol to 25-year-old Mihir Shah, who is below the legal drinking age. This occurred late Saturday and early Sunday, just hours before Shah, driving a BMW, collided with a two-wheeler, killing a 45-year-old woman and injuring her husband.

Shah fled the scene immediately and was untraceable for over 72 hours. He was finally arrested on Tuesday evening in an apartment in Virar, located 65 km from Mumbai.
