Rajasthan Utsav-2025 concludes in Delhi: women artisans shine with ₹50 lakh sales

The nine-day Rajasthan Utsav-2025 wrapped up at Bikaner House, New Delhi, showcasing the rich heritage of Rajasthani art, handicrafts, and culture. Organized by the Rajasthan Gramin Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika), the festival highlighted the craftsmanship of women artisans from self-help groups (SHGs), who recorded sales exceeding ₹50 lakh.

Women’s Handcrafted Products Steal the Spotlight

With nearly 60 stalls featuring textiles, jewelry, organic products, and traditional Rajasthani delicacies, the event saw a tremendous response from Delhiites and the Rajasthani diaspora. Live demonstrations by skilled artisans captivated visitors, drawing attention to Rajasthan’s traditional craftsmanship.

Economic Empowerment Through Handicrafts
Mr. Ramesh Kumar, overseeing the event on behalf of Rajeevika, stated that the festival significantly boosted the financial independence of rural women artisans. “The overwhelming sales reflect the growing demand for handcrafted products and provide national recognition to our women artisans,” he said.

Inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan Utsav-2025 featured a range of interactive activities, including painting competitions, mehndi contests, and golgappa-eating challenges. Visitors actively participated in these events, with top performers receiving special prizes.
