Indira IVF Gorakhpur Opens in a New, Spacious Facility; Inaugurated by Mayor Manglesh Srivastava

Gorakhpur/ New Delhi, 24 November 2024

The number of childless couples around the world has seen a significant increase, leading to a rise in demand for IVF treatments. Indira IVF, India’s largest chain in infertility treatment, has relocated its hospital in Gorakhpur to a new, spacious facility on the third floor above Pantaloons, Cinema Road, Purdilpur, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. In line with its vision to provide IVF treatment to couples in both large and small cities, many of the group’s hospitals are now opening in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. This is the 19th hospital in Uttar Pradesh under the Indira IVF network.

The new hospital was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Gorakhpur Mayor Manglesh Srivastava, former HOD of BRD Medical College Gorakhpur Dr. Radha Jina, and Hospital Head Dr. Shikha Mukhija, who cut the ribbon to mark the opening. Special guests Dr. Madhu Gulati, Dr. Smita Jaiswal, and Dr. Reena Srivastava presented gifts to orphaned children from the Bal Shishu Grih and couples who had conceived after receiving IVF treatment.

In his congratulatory address, Mayor Manglesh Srivastava acknowledged that infertility is still not discussed as much as other health issues, making Indira IVF’s comprehensive treatment services under one roof a commendable initiative.

Indira IVF Group’s MD and Co-Founder Nitiz Murdia shared a message highlighting that according to an Ernst & Young report, approximately 27.5 million couples in India are struggling with infertility, while only about 250,000 IVF cycles are performed annually. This gap is mainly due to a lack of awareness and treatment centers. He emphasized that every couple deserves the opportunity to fulfill their dream of parenthood through treatment. The group’s mission is to make advanced fertility treatments accessible and a right for all.

Dr. Shikha Mukhija, Head of Indira IVF Gorakhpur, spoke about the group’s efforts to explore new models aimed at reducing costs and expanding access to fertility treatments. The goal is to create a healthcare ecosystem where every individual, regardless of background, has the opportunity to experience the joy of parenthood. The hospital’s new, spacious facility not only offers cutting-edge medical services but also aims to foster crucial awareness about reproductive health, dispel myths, and provide hope to couples who have lost hope of having children.

Indira IVF is progressing on its growth path, committed to making infertility treatment more accessible, affordable, and free from misconceptions. Through expansion and technological innovations, Indira IVF is actively strengthening the future of reproductive healthcare both in India and abroad.
