Ishan Kishan has been undergoing training at the Kiran More Academy in Baroda alongside the Pandya brothers. There had been numerous speculations regarding his whereabouts after he took a break during the South Africa tour. For a considerable period, it was challenging to reach him or determine his location. However, according to a report on Cricbuzz, Kishan has been actively training at the Kiran More Academy. The left-handed batsman has been absent from international matches and has also been absent from Ranji Trophy games representing his state. Currently, Kishan is not included in the Indian Test squad playing against England at home.
Recently, before the Test series against England, India’s coach Rahul Dravid was questioned about Kishan’s potential participation. Dravid stated, “I don’t want to dwell too much on the matter of Ishan Kishan. Whenever he feels prepared, I didn’t mention that he has to participate in domestic cricket; I emphasized whenever he feels ready to return. It’s his decision. We are staying in touch with him. He hasn’t resumed playing yet, right? Presently, it’s not under consideration. Perhaps he’s not ready. He’ll determine when he feels prepared.” It’s now evident that the earliest opportunity for Kishan to play could be during the IPL season from March to May.
