ISRO Chairman: 2024 to Be the Year of Gaganyaan Readiness

The year 2024 is poised to be significant for the Gaganyaan mission,” stated ISRO Chairman c after the successful launch of India’s first X-Ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) on Monday. He emphasized that the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) current focus is on preparing for the Gaganyaan mission. Somanath mentioned plans for a helicopter-based drop test to validate the parachute systems, multiple drop tests, and numerous valuation tests. He also declared, “So, it is going to be the year dedicated to mission Gaganyaan readiness. Additionally, there will be launches of GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle).
