“It’s the Algorithm, Not Me”: Rahul Vaidya reacts to Virat Kohli’s Instagram like incident

Rahul Vaidya adds a touch of humor to the Virat Kohli Instagram controversy, joking about the algorithm behind the incident
Singer Rahul Vaidya has offered a witty take on the recent social media chatter around cricketer Virat Kohli, who liked a fan page post of actress Avneet Kaur on Instagram, that quickly grabbed public attention.
Kohli’s Instagram handle was spotted in the likes section of the post, leading to widespread speculation online. The cricketer later addressed the issue directly through his Instagram story, writing:
“I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

Amid this, Rahul Vaidya added a layer of humour to the situation through his own Instagram story. He joked about how Instagram’s algorithm might be up to more than people realise.
“I want to say that after today, it is possible that the algorithm likes a lot of photos, which I have not done. So, whoever the girl is, please don’t do PR around it, because it is not my mistake, it is Instagram’s mistake, okay?”
Vaidya also referred to being blocked by Kohli in the past, and didn’t miss the chance to extend the same ‘algorithm’ logic there as well.
“So guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. So I think that will also be an Instagram glitch… the algorithm must’ve told Virat Kohli, ‘Let me block Rahul Vaidya for you.’”
