US President Joe Biden is committed to serving a full second term if re-elected in November, according to the White House. The 81-year-old is facing political challenges amid concerns about his age and fitness for office. When asked during a daily briefing if Biden would pledge to serve another four years if he defeats Donald Trump in the 2024 election, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded, “Yes.”
Jean-Pierre emphasized that Democrats are now “absolutely” united behind Biden as the party’s lawmakers hold critical talks about his candidacy for November. She noted that Biden aims to move forward and unite the party, stating, “We do want to turn the page… We want to get to the other side of this.” She added, “The president’s going to move forward.”
