7th February 2025, Friday
The film ‘The Diplomat’ gives John a new opportunity-a gripping one. Followed by a minute-long teaser released on Friday, it showed glimpses of the high-risk zone where an Indian diplomat (John Abraham) stands in front of an almost life-changing case. It has been directed by Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah, inspired by certain events in history that once stirred the nation.
Glimpses Into ‘The Diplomat’
The teaser opens at a charge with John Abraham seated with a distressed Muslim woman claiming to be an Indian citizen. Just as she is about to continue with her story, he hands her a glass of water with a warning: “Don’t try to hide anything, otherwise things might get difficult for you.”
Tension builds from here. The teaser promises that this is an elaborate case where every move counts, and promises action, drama, and a fancy new look for John, all in one. This man, dripping with charm, must now suit up, moustache and all, and command authority as we’ve never seen before. His character makes it clear: this means survival in this world, way before anybody else; ‘Dhai kadam’.
