Mandi Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Result: The actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is brimming with joy as she leads in the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh. With the initial trends favoring Kangana, the Tejas actor sought her mother’s blessings and shared a series of images on her X (formerly Twitter) account. Kangana, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Mandi constituency, is competing against Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress party.
In the pictures posted by the actor, Kangana is seen dressed in a pink saree while her mother feeds her a mixture of curd and sugar (Dahi Shakar). Curd and sugar are traditionally believed to bring good luck and prosperity on auspicious occasions. Alongside the photos, Kangana wrote, “A mother embodies the divine, today my mother is feeding me curd and sugar,” she tweeted with a folded hands emoji.
Currently, Kangana Ranaut is leading in the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh in her electoral debut. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI) trends, she has a lead of 37,033 votes over Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress party. In 2014 and 2019, the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ram Swaroop Sharma, with vote shares of 49.97% and 68.75%, respectively.
