MERI College Hosts Global Academic Dialogue with SIAM University

New Delhi, MERI College, Delhi, in partnership with SIAM University, Thailand, successfully organized Vishwavyapi Adhyayan: International Faculty Dialogue as part of its Student Exchange Program. This academic forum brought together students and faculty to engage with global educators, discussing evolving trends in education, research-based learning, and sustainability-driven academic frameworks.

Insights from Global Academic Leaders

Distinguished representatives from SIAM University, including Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit (President), Prof. (Dr.) Chanita Rukspollmuang (Vice President), and Dr. Yhing Sawheny (Director of International Affairs), joined MERI’s leadership team, represented by Prof. Lalit Aggarwal (Vice President), Dr. Rakesh Khurana (Advisor), Dr. Ramakant Dwivedi (Head, Centre for International Studies), and Dr. Deepshikha Kalra (Dean), alongside faculty members and students.

The event commenced with discussions on the evolving landscape of higher education. Dr. Mongkhonvanit underscored the need for adaptability in academic institutions to prepare students for global careers. Prof. (Dr.) Rukspollmuang introduced SIAM University’s Triangle of Living Learning Lab (SU-LLL)—a model integrating academics, research, and community engagement in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Exploring International Learning and Career Pathways

Dr. Sawheny led a session on global academic opportunities, encouraging students from BBA, MBA, BAJMC, BCA, and B.Com programs to explore international education and career prospects. An interactive quiz on global education trends added a fun and engaging aspect to the session, with winners receiving special recognition.

Strengthening Global Partnerships

Concluding the event, Dr. Kalra expressed her gratitude to the visiting dignitaries and participants, reaffirming MERI College’s dedication to equipping students with the knowledge and international exposure necessary for success in today’s interconnected world.
