Empowering Educators: MERI Organizes AI-Focused FDP for Faculty Development

International Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Empowering Research with AI Tools and Techniques” Held from February 22-28, 2025

The Management Education and Research Institute ( MERI ), Delhi, through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell, successfully organized an International Faculty Development Program ( FDP ) on “Empowering Research with AI Tools and Techniques” from February 22-28, 2025. The FDP aimed to train faculty members in integrating AI into research and teaching methodologies.

The event was inaugurated by keynote speaker Prof. Bharat Bhargava from Purdue University, USA, whose insights enriched the program. Distinguished attendees included Shri I.P. Aggarwal (President, MERI Group), Prof. Lalit Aggarwal (Vice President), Dr. Rakesh Khurana (Advisor), and Dr. Deepshikha Kalra (Dean). Prof. Lalit Aggarwal emphasized the importance of staying updated with technological advancements in education. Prof. Bhargava highlighted AI’s transformative role in personalizing learning and streamlining administrative tasks, sparking engaging discussions among participants.

The program featured expert sessions by Dr. Amogh Sirnoorkar (Purdue University) on AI-driven teaching methodologies, Dr. Seema Malik (BPS Women University) on qualitative analysis using ORANGE software, and Mr. Amit Batra on Power BI for data visualization. The FDP concluded with Dr. Gagandeep Kaur addressing contemporary attitudinal challenges and proposing innovative solutions.

The FDP fostered a collaborative learning environment, equipping faculty with AI-based research tools. MERI aims to continue such initiatives to ensure educators remain at the forefront of technological advancements, ultimately enriching the student learning experience.
