A nimble monkey made its way into the inner sanctum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya a day after the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla. At approximately 5:50 pm, the primate entered through the southern gate, approaching the revered Utsav idol of Lord Ram without appearing daunted by the sacred surroundings.
Initially alarmed, the security personnel stationed outside rushed towards the unexpected guest, concerned that it might harm the idol, according to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple trust. Contrary to expectations, the monkey gracefully traversed the sanctum, then headed towards the closed northern gate. Undeterred, it turned eastward, peacefully exiting through the eastern gate amidst the awe-struck devotees.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra posted, “Today at around 5:50 pm, a monkey entered the sanctum sanctorum through the southern gate and approached the Utsav idol. Seeing this, security personnel ran towards the monkey, fearing it might drop the idol. However, the monkey calmly headed towards the northern gate. Unable to go through, it turned eastward and exited through the eastern gate without causing any trouble. Security personnel stated that for them, it felt as if Hanuman ji himself had come to see Ramlala.”
Many devotees interpreted the incident as a symbol of Hanuman Ji’s continued guardianship over Lord Ram and viewed it as a blessing upon the newly established temple.
The Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya took place on Monday, with the unveiling of the idol during the ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
