New Delhi : Moto Buds and Moto Buds+ have been introduced in India. These wireless earphones were previously revealed in Europe in April. They come with Hi-Res Audio certifications, dynamic active noise cancellation (ANC), triple mic systems, and water-resistant designs. They are said to seamlessly connect with the Moto Buds app. The Moto Buds+ also boast “Sound by Bose,” indicating that their audio has been fine-tuned and certified by the renowned American audio equipment manufacturer.
In terms of pricing and availability in India, the Moto Buds are priced at Rs. 4,999, with an instant discount of Rs. 1,000 available for ICICI Bank credit card holders, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 3,999. These earphones are currently offered in three colors – Coral Peach, Glacier Blue, and Starlight Blue, with a fourth option in Kiwi Green expected soon. On the other hand, the Moto Buds+ are listed at Rs. 9,999, with ICICI Bank credit card users eligible for a Rs. 2,000 instant discount, making the effective price Rs. 7,999. They come in Beach Sand and Forest Grey colors. Both models can be purchased through Flipkart in India.
In terms of specifications and features, the Moto Buds are equipped with single 12.4mm dynamic drivers, while the Moto Buds+ feature dual dynamic drivers comprising an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. The Buds support up to 50dB ANC, while the Moto Buds+ offer up to 46dB ANC. They offer three preset modes of noise cancellation – Transparency, Adaptive, and Noise Cancellation.
Additionally, the Moto Buds+ feature Dolby Head Tracking and Dolby Atmos support, alongside the “Sound by Bose” branding. Both models are certified for Hi-Res Audio and include triple mic systems with integrated environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for improved call clarity.
The Moto Buds app allows users to customize touch functions and sound experiences with the equalizer. While currently available only on the Play Store for Android devices, an iOS version is reportedly in the works.
In terms of battery life, the Moto Buds claim up to 42 hours, while the Moto Buds+ offer up to 38 hours. With ANC off, the Moto Buds provide up to nine hours of playback, whereas the Buds+ offer up to eight hours. A quick charge of 10 minutes provides up to two hours of playback for the Moto Buds, while the Buds+ offer up to three hours. Both earphone charging cases support USB Type-C charging, with the Moto Buds+ case also supporting wireless charging.
The charging cases of both models offer IPX4 ratings for splash resistance, while the Moto Buds+ earphones have an additional IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. They also support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The Moto Buds charging case with the earphones weighs 36g, while the Moto Buds+ weigh 42.8g.
