In a tragic incident, Anvi Kamdar, a 27-year-old travel influencer from Mumbai, lost her life after accidentally falling into a 300-foot gorge near the renowned Kumbhe waterfall in Mangaon, Raigad district. The incident occurred on July 16 while Kamdar was filming a video during a monsoon outing with seven friends. Kamdar, a resident of Mulund, had a substantial following of 257,000 on Instagram under the handle @theglocaljournal, where she shared content on travel, luxury, cafés, itineraries, and experiences. Her bio mentioned her profession as a chartered accountant and a former employee of Deloitte.
Her last reel, posted just two days prior to the incident, featured suggestions for plans for the upcoming long weekend on August 15.
