On National Youth Day, the National Human Welfare Council ( NHWC ) honored 31 youths with the ‘ Youth Icon Award’ . Additionally, they organized the National Youth Summit on this occasion. The main guests at the event included Mr. Anurag Bakshi IRS (Rtd), Chairman of Haryana Export Promotion Council and Haryana Government, and
Mr. Rajmani Patel, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. Distinguished guests included Dr. Pushpendra Pratap Singh, Country Head of Asia Shipping Company; Mr. Surendra Saini, Chairman of the Federation of National Industries; Advocate Navin Gupta, Member of the Ministry of Civil Aviation; Mr. Navin Seth, Deputy Secretary-General of PHDCCI; and Mr. Rajiv Batiya, Private Secretary to the Minister of Law, Government of India, among others.
President of the organization, Gunjan Mehta, welcomed all guests present at the event in her opening address. The chief guest of the program, Shri Anurag Bakshi, said, “The National Human Welfare Council is consistently participating in nation-building. It is heartening to see that they are actively working to bring youth forward in the process of nation-building.” Member of Parliament Rajmani Shri Patel also commended the selfless work of this social organization.
The Youth Summit included discussions on the life values and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, focusing on the role of youth in this young nation. In this significant discourse, youth from various states, engaged in selfless work in the field of nation-building, participated. Notably, Meera Parida, the Maha Mandal President of the Kinnar community from Odisha, emphasized in her address that today’s youth should channelize their youth power towards nation-building.
In the event, young artist Rahul Bhuchar, portraying the character of Lord Rama in the staging of Shri Ram Leela in the city of Ayodhya, remembered Lord Rama in his address. He expressed his devotion to Lord Rama and highlighted the ongoing discussions worldwide about Ayodhya and the construction of the Shri Ram Temple. With his speech, he infused the entire event with a sense of devotion to Lord Rama, and the echoes of “Jai Shri Ram” resonated throughout the gathering.
At the end of the program, Gunjan Mehta pledged to everyone a commitment to contribute 100% to the nation-building process with true dedication, unity, equality, without any discrimination, and with a selfless spirit. The event concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
