Nitanshi Goel stops her rampwalk midway to touch Hema Malini’s Feet, shares warm moment with Sushmita Sen during Mumbai fashion show

Actor Nitanshi Goel, known for her role in Laapataa Ladies, made headlines at a recent fashion show in Mumbai when she paused her ramp walk to greet two well-known actors, Hema Malini and Sushmita Sen.

Nitanshi, paused midway through her walk to lovingly greet Sushmita Sen, who was sitting near the ramp. The former Miss Universe greeted her with a bright grin and applauded her as she kept walking.

Veteran actress who was sitting in the front row in a red saree was seen by Nitanshi right away. She touched the actress’s feet out of respect. Hema Malini, visibly moved by the gesture, placed her hand on her heart and smiled warmly in response.

Nitanshi Goel rose to fame with her performance in Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao. Released in theatres in March 2024, the film tells the story of two brides, Phool (played by Nitanshi) and Jaya (Pratibha Ranta), who get accidentally swapped during a train journey. The film also features Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma.

The film was India’s official entry to the Oscars 2025 but did not make it to the final shortlist.
