Nokia global executive shares industry insights with MERI Delhi students

Industry expert engages with students at MERI Delhi on evolving workplace needs & explores emerging trends shaping the future of tech and telecom careers

A guest lecture on “Industry Expectations” was held at the Management Education & Research Institute (MERI), Delhi, where over 80 students from the MBA and BBA programs engaged with industry insights from Amit Goel, Head of Radio Software Product Management at Nokia Global.
Organized by MERI’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the session aimed to inform students about evolving trends in the tech and telecom sectors. Goel, a seasoned leader in telecom innovation, emphasized the growing relevance of digital proficiency, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional agility in the coming years. He also spoke on the integration of 5G and artificial intelligence into telecom operations, underlining the need for future professionals to adapt quickly to these changes.

“Continuous learning, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are becoming as critical as technical knowledge,” Goel told students during the interactive session, where he also addressed career-related queries.
Senior academic leaders, including Prof. (Dr.) Deepshikha Kalra, Prof. Rakesh Khurana, and Prof. Devendra Bahadur, were present and echoed the importance of aligning academic learning with real-world industry requirements.
The lecture is part of MERI’s broader efforts to foster stronger academia-industry collaboration and prepare students for competitive global careers.
