We wish to clarify recent speculations regarding the casting of Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Despite widespread anticipation following the return of Vidya Balan as the iconic Manjulika, it has been confirmed by director Anees Bazmee that Akshay Kumar will not be part of the upcoming film.
Produced under the banner of T-Series by Bhushan Kumar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is scheduled for a significant Diwali release this year, with Kartik Aaryan taking the lead role, reprising his involvement from the previous installment alongside Kiara Advani.
In an interview with Zoom, Anees Bazmee expressed his admiration for Akshay Kumar’s talent but clarified that the actor’s involvement in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is not on the cards at this time. He emphasized his eagerness to collaborate with Akshay in the future.
Regarding Vidya Balan’s participation, Anees Bazmee extended a warm welcome, acknowledging her past collaboration on his film Thank You. He reminisced about Vidya’s graciousness in accepting a three-day role in that project, expressing his gratitude towards her.
Besides Vidya and Kartik, the cast of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to include Sara Ali Khan, alongside Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav. The film will pick up the storyline from its predecessor, offering audiences a fresh narrative arc.
Pre-production for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is underway, with filming set to commence next month. We anticipate Kartik’s return to his comedic prowess following his recent venture with Kabir Khan.
