Pahalgam Attack: Rahul Gandhi and Kharge write to PM Modi, demand special parliament session

New Delhi, April 28:
Pahalgam Attack: Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge have written separate letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to convene a special session of Parliament at the earliest.
In his letter, Rahul Gandhi wrote that the attack has left the entire country outraged and stressed the importance of showing national unity in the face of terrorism. He underscored that Parliament should meet so that elected representatives can stand together and send a clear message of determination. He requested that the session be held without delay.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also supported the demand in his own letter, describing the attack as a brutal assault on innocent civilians. He emphasized that this is a time to rise above political differences and unite as a nation.
Both leaders made it clear that the Opposition is ready to stand with the government on this issue and wants a meaningful discussion in Parliament. They believe a special session would not only reflect collective resolve but also allow for discussion on national security and the way forward.
