Passenger Injured After Stone Thrown at Moving Train, Railways Respond

A concerning incident of stone pelting has been reported in Bihar, where an unidentified individual allegedly hurled a stone at the moving Bhagalpur-Jaynagar Express train. Consequently, a passenger sustained injuries. The incident was shared on social media by an account named Supaul Voice, which posted pictures and videos.

One photo appears to capture the alleged perpetrator in act, while an other image shows a passenger with injuries, including bleeding nose, reportedly resulting from the stone-throwing.

“Bhagalpur Jaynagar Intercity Express was pelted with stones between Darbhanga and Kakarghati. @spjdivn sir immediately arrested the stone pelter. The railway administration is requested to take strict action against the culprit to prevent such incidents,” the caption on the post read.

Several users reacted to the post, demanding strict punishment for the accused. One user commented, “Arrest him immediately and impose a severe punishment.” Another added, “For security, both the Railway Administration and RPF, along with citizens, must stay vigilant against anti-social elements and collaborate to control them.”

Responding to the shocking incident, Railways Ministry announced they had identified the accused and registered case under various sections. They posted on social media, “Taking immediate action on the incident of stone pelting by anti-social elements, we have identified the accused and registered a case under various sections.”

The Ministry also issued a public appeal, urging citizens to report any instances of stone pelting or anti-social behavior to the authorities promptly.
