The leader of the Congress party, Mallikarjun Kharge, congratulated Oli on behalf of the party for his reselection to a fourth term as PM of Nepal.

Following Pushp Kamal Dahal’s (nicknamed “Prachanda”) failure to win the House of Representatives’ trust during Friday’s floor test, Khagda Prasad Sharma Oli took the oath of office as prime minister of Nepal for the 4th time on Monday.
President Ram Chandra Paudel delivered the oaths of office and secrecy to Oli during the occasion.
Following the floor test, President Ram Chandra Paudel invited political parties to form a new government, and Sharma was appointed prime minister for the fourth time.
In accordance with the constitutional mandate, Oli must now obtain a vote of confidence from Parliament within 30 days of taking office. A minimum of 138 votes in the 275-seat House of Representatives will be required for him to win.

Strengthening India-Nepal Friendship: PM Modi
On Monday, the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, congratulated Oli on his reappointment and expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely to “further strengthen the deep connections of friendship” between the two nations.
“Best wishes on your appointment as Nepal’s prime minister, @kpsharmaoli,” Modi posted on X.
“We look forward to working together to enhance the profound bonds of friendship between our two nations and to expand our mutually beneficial collaboration for the advancement and prosperity of our peoples” he added.
Mallikarjun Kharge, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress chief, offered his party’s best wishes to the new Nepal Prime Minister.
“The Indian National Congress sends its best wishes to Shree K P Sharma Oli on being elected as the Prime Minister of Nepal,” Kharge posted on X.
“The neighboring countries of India and Nepal have a close connection and collaboration based on strong kinship and cultural bonds.” Every Indian looks forward to extending the bonds of mutual cooperation for a better future,” he said.
