
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Prayagraj and took a sacred dip in the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi reached the Sangam via boat before immersing himself in the holy waters. Dressed in saffron attire with a Rudraksha mala around his neck, he chanted Vedic mantras as he took the ritualistic dip alone. After emerging from the water, the Prime Minister continued his prayers by reciting sacred hymns.
Earlier, PM Modi landed at Bamrauli Airport, where he was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, CM Yogi Adityanath, and the state’s Deputy Chief Ministers. His visit to Prayagraj is scheduled to last for two hours.

Following his holy bath, the Prime Minister performed an aarti at the Triveni Sangam, marking his deep spiritual engagement in the ongoing Maha Kumbh.
The grand Maha Kumbh 2025 began on January 13 (Paush Purnima) and will continue until February 26 (Mahashivratri). According to Uttar Pradesh government estimates, over 38 crore devotees have already taken a dip in the Sangam, making this one of the most significant spiritual gatherings in history.
