Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit France, where he will prioritize strengthening the ties between India and France in various areas, including defense and space. During his two-day trip to Paris, PM Modi will engage in extensive discussions with the French President to further enhance the longstanding and proven partnership between the two nations.
In a statement before his departure for France, PM Modi highlighted the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership between India and France. He emphasized the deep trust and commitment that underpin the relationship, noting the close cooperation between the two countries in defense, space, civil nuclear, blue economy, trade, investment, education, culture, and people-to-people ties. Additionally, they collaborate on regional and global issues, reflecting a comprehensive partnership.
PM Modi expressed his anticipation for the upcoming meeting with President Macron, where they will discuss a wide range of topics to advance the enduring partnership for the next 25 years.
During his visit, PM Modi will be the guest of honor at the annual Bastille Day Parade. A 269-member Indian tri-services contingent will participate in the parade, and three Rafale fighter jets from the Indian Air Force (IAF) will join the flypast along with French jets, symbolizing the cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in the defense sector.
