The 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) is set to commence on August 3, 2024, with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurating the event at 9:30 AM at the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) Complex, New Delhi. The Prime Minister will also deliver an address during the inauguration.
This triennial conference, organized by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, will take place from August 2 to August 7, 2024. Notably, this is the first time in 65 years that India is hosting the ICAE.
The theme for this year’s conference, “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems,” addresses the urgent need for sustainable agriculture amidst global challenges such as climate change, resource degradation, rising production costs, and conflicts. The conference will underscore India’s proactive stance on these global agricultural issues and showcase the nation’s advancements in agricultural research and policy.
ICAE 2024 will provide a platform for young researchers and leading professionals to present their work and network with international peers. The event aims to strengthen partnerships between research institutes and universities, influence policy-making at both national and global levels, and highlight India’s progress in digital agriculture and sustainable agri-food systems. Approximately 1,000 delegates from around 75 countries are expected to participate in the conference.
