PM Modi’s Gujarat Visit: Temple Prayers and Development Projects Inaugurated

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his two-day visit to his hometown of Gujarat, engaged in various activities and inaugurated projects worth Rs 5,950 Crore. He began his visit with a roadshow in Banaskantha, Gujarat, and then proceeded to offer prayers at the Ambaji Temple, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. After the religious ceremonies, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Mehsana. He also visited Kevadia, where he paid his respects at the Statue of Unity and participated in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations.
In addition to his spiritual activities, Prime Minister Modi conducted a roadshow in Banaskantha, where people lined the streets, showering flower petals on his passing entourage. Subsequently, he inaugurated and laid the foundation for several development projects. Following this, he addressed the Officer Trainees of the 98th Common Foundation Course in Aarambh 5.
The Prime Minister’s busy schedule during his two-day visit also included a public function in Dabhoda village in Kheralu taluka, Mehsana, where he launched various projects and addressed a gathering. These projects spanned various government departments, such as Indian Railways, Gujarat Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (GRIDE), state water resources, water supply, roads, buildings, and urban development. These 16 development initiatives covered districts like Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mahisagar, Gandhinagar, and Patan. The projects included railway initiatives like the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) sections, the doubling of the Viramgam-Samakhiali rail line, and projects related to rural lake recharge, barrage construction on the Sabarmati river, drinking water, sewage water treatment, irrigation, road widening, and sewage treatment plants, among others.
