President Droupadi Murmu Takes Metro Ride In Delhi, Engages with School Students

President Droupadi Murmu of India made headlines on Wednesday, February 7, as she opted to travel via the Delhi Metro in the nation’s capital. The President was seen inside the metro conversing with officials and school students. This spontaneous action was reportedly aimed at fostering a connection with the daily lives of the city’s residents.

Clad in a yellow saree, the president interacted with school students during her metro journey. She traveled on the Delhi Metro’s Violet Line, which runs between Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) in Faridabad, according to officials.
