The General Secretary of the Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee has disclosed the details of the upcoming Farmers’ Protest 2024, including the demands and route plan. Various farmer associations are organizing a significant protest scheduled for February 13, 2024. They intend to conduct a ‘Farmers’ Delhi Chalo March’ from Haryana to New Delhi to assertively present their demands to the Central government. These demands primarily focus on the enactment of a law guaranteeing the minimum support price (MSP) for crops. In anticipation of the protest, the governments of Haryana and Delhi are making preparations, including deploying external security forces, border sealing, and imposing restrictions such as internet and bulk SMS bans, along with Section 144.
