Radhika Merchant is set to be the bride of the year, donning a bespoke custom lehenga for the ‘mameru’ ceremony. She never fails to create a fashion moment, leaving us in awe once again! For this pre-wedding festivity, Radhika wore an elegant, custom-made bandhani lehenga by Manish Malhotra. This was not just any traditional piece—the intricate detailing from the borders to the jewellery was truly remarkable.
Decoding Radhika Merchant’s Pre-Wedding Lehenga
Radhika Merchant stunned in a rani pink Banarasi brocade lehenga. Her jewellery was equally impressive, featuring a beautifully woven ‘Durga Maa Shloka’ on the borders. The lehenga exuded elegance and grace with classic gold taar zardosi embroidery. According to designer Manish Malhotra, the lehenga is a masterpiece of “rai bandhej on a Banarasi brocade in rani pink, using 35 meters of bandhej to create the Ghagra.” The heavily embroidered blouse was inspired by vintage koti designs.
To complement the look, she draped a statement dupatta featuring a story that appeared to depict a ‘baraat entry.’
