Following Team India’s victory, Dravid gave a speech to the group in the locker room, expressing his gratitude for being a part of this amazing experience. Everyone here will cherish this memory. You will remember these kinds of events more than your career, so it’s not about the runs or wickets. Sincerely, you all have my sincere admiration. We had some setbacks when we were close but were unable to cross the line, but overall we were happy with how you struggled, how you fought back, and how we worked together.”

For their families to be able to enjoy this moment, everyone made countless sacrifices. Consider all of the sacrifices made by your brothers, parents, spouses, kids, coaches, and numerous other people who helped you get to this dressing room.
