New Delhi, April 7, 2025 —
A spiritually charged Ram Navami celebration was held at Katyayani Apartments in Dwarka, bringing together a diverse group of attendees for an evening marked by devotion and cultural expression. The event featured religious tableaux, bhajan performances, and a community aarti, drawing participation from residents and guests across Delhi and beyond.
The gathering was coordinated by senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh and Parul Singh, who serves as the President of the Delhi State Para Olympic Committee. The occasion attracted several distinguished guests from government, education, and public service backgrounds.

Among the attendees were Neelam Sonkar, former MP and Vice President of BJP Uttar Pradesh; Rajendra Prasad Sonkar, BJP’s state vice president in UP; and Ved Tandon, Director at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Also present were C.S. Paul, former NBCC Director and Chairman of Kamal, Vandana, and Trinity International Schools, along with Neelam Paul.
Other notable guests included Sudhir Kumar, Joint Secretary at NITI Aayog; R.A. Yadav, former Chief Engineer at CPWD; Jay Shankar, Chief General Manager (CSR) at ONGC; and Sunil Pandey, Director at NBCC. Jang Bahadur, a retired Assistant Director from the Intelligence Bureau, also attended.
The evening highlighted the significance of Ram Navami through traditional storytelling and shared prayers. Residents described the event as both spiritually uplifting and socially inclusive.
Speaking during the ceremony, one of the organisers remarked that Ram Navami serves as a reminder of values like dharma, service, and integrity, which remain relevant in modern times.
Another speaker emphasized the inclusive nature of the gathering, noting the active participation of persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and families. “Events like these reflect the spirit of unity and collective remembrance of our cultural heritage,” they said.
The celebration concluded with distribution of prasad, with local residents and members of the surrounding community participating with enthusiasm.
