A gym, park, and Chhath Ghat will be built over 1.5 km; a road constructed on the other side will help reduce traffic congestion
Aurangabad, 5 March 2025
The construction of this River Front Corridor, which is being built during the Chief Minister’s Prgati Yatra, will cost Rs 74 crore. On Friday, District Magistrate Shrikant Shastri paid a visit to the construction site to inspect this project. The construction of this Riverfront Corridor would enhance water recharge in Aurangabad, aiding the Adri River, which has been suffering from a long-standing water problem.
Furthermore, the road will function as a bypass, allowing people of the surrounding districts to easily reach NH-19 without entering the city. Both sides of the 1.5-kilometer corridor will be planted with trees. Open gyms, bathrooms, and parks will be built in four to five areas. In addition to improving the city’s attractiveness, the corridor will be transformed into a tourist destination.
This project is being implemented under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Mission, and its completion is intended to provide a new direction for the district’s growth. Locals have praised the Bihar government and district administration’s efforts, describing it as a significant step forward for the area’s development.
The development of the Riverfront Corridor has sparked excitement among Aurangabad residents. Many regard it as a step toward the city’s progress because it will improve infrastructure while also encouraging environmental protection.
