Two-Day Workshop Organized by Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone-IV, Patna

A two-day workshop was organized by the Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ICAR), Zone-IV, Patna, in which subject matter specialists (plant protection) from Krishi Vigyan Kendras of Bihar and Jharkhand participated.
One of the significant tasks of Krishi Vigyan Kendras is to discuss in detail the work plan for on-field research trials to address practical agricultural problems faced by farmers. By involving farmers as partners, these centers aim to provide sustainable solutions to agricultural issues, ensuring consistent productivity and the beneficial application of new technologies for farmers. In this workshop, 37 subject matter specialists (plant protection) from various Krishi Vigyan Kendras participated and discussed their respective district work plans in detail.
Dr. Anjani Kumar, Director of the Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Patna, emphasized that the role of Krishi Vigyan Kendras is extremely important in making agriculture profitable. They should work in their districts with a scientific approach to boost farmers’ confidence and enable them to adopt agriculture as a profession.
In the two-day workshop, experts like Prof. Raghuraman from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Dr. Kuldeep Srivastava, Principal Scientist, Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi, and Dr. Ranjit Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dumraon, participated and provided important suggestions to formulate a significant work plan for the benefit of farmers.
Dr. Monobullah, Dr. Amrendra Kumar, Dr. D.V. Singh, Dr. Pragya Bhadauria, and Dr. Tejaswini played a vital role in making the workshop successful. All the officials, employees, and project staff of ATARI, Patna, also played an important role.
