
A tragic accident occurred at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where a Saurya Airlines plane crashed during takeoff. The aircraft, bound for Pokhara and carrying 19 individuals, including crew members, encountered the accident around 11 a.m., according to TIA spokesperson Premnath Thakur. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the factors that led to this unfortunate event. Preliminary reports indicate that five bodies have been recovered from the crash site.
The flight’s captain, Mr. Shakya, has been transported to the hospital. Thick smoke is clearly visible at the airport as police and firefighters conduct the rescue operations at that place.
