Shatrughan Sinha responded to the rumors about his daughter Sonakshi Sinha marriage to Zaheer Iqbal after much conjecture.

In response to the persistent rumors that his daughter Sonakshi Sinha would marry her rumored boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha has finally spoken out. Sonakshi and Zaheer are rumored to be getting married in Mumbai on June 23. These reports arose on Monday. Nevertheless, these statements have not been verified by Sonakshi or Zaheer.
Shatrughan Sinha, expressed his surprise at the news in his own words. “I’m in Delhi at the moment. I came down here via plane after the election results. I haven’t discussed my daughter’s plans with anyone.
He stated that Sonakshi had kept quiet about this. He answered, “So your question is, is she getting married?” The truth is that she has not informed me anything about it. I just know as much as I can from what I read in the media. If and when she trusts me, my wife and I will offer the pair our blessings. We wish her happiness always.”
Shatrughan Sinha further stated that his daughter is an adult with full decision-making ability. “We fully trust her judgement. She would never make a choice that violated the constitution or was illegal. As a consenting adult, she has the freedom to make her own decisions,” he stated.
Also, Shratughan Sinha stated that he is still waiting for the wedding announcement. He stated, “People close to me have asked why I’m not aware of this, despite the fact that the media is. All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maap-baap ki, sirf inform karte hain (these days, youngsters do not seek parental permission; they simply inform). We’re waiting to be informed.”

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal reportedly met at a gathering organized by Salman Khan. They hit it off right away and developed a friendship that eventually turned into romance. They appeared in Satram Ramani’s ‘Double XL’ together.
