The reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3
The reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3 has recently been thrust into the spotlight due to a viral video involving contestants Kritika Malik and her husband, Armaan Malik. The footage, which shows the couple engaging in intimate behavior under a blanket, has ignited significant backlash from viewers and social media users, who have condemned the show’s content.

The controversy intensified when senior Shiv Sena MLA Manisha Kayande formally petitioned the Mumbai Police, seeking action against the show and its producers. Kayande met with Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar to voice her concerns regarding what she described as the “absolute vulgarity” portrayed on the program.
“Bigg Boss 3 is currently filming, and content being shown is unequivocally inappropriate. The participation of the YouTube influencer in such scenes has crossed all boundaries of decency. We have formally requested that the Mumbai police investigate this matter, providing them with a letter outlining our concerns.(Bigg Boss OTT 3)
It is crucial to question the appropriateness of such content under the guise of a reality show and its potential impact on young audiences,” Kayande stated.
In response to the uproar, Armaan Malik’s first wife and YouTuber, Payal Malik, has defended the couple, claiming that the viral video is edited and does not accurately reflect the events in the Bigg Boss house. “The video being circulated, which is alleged to feature Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik, is misleading.(Bigg Boss OTT 3)
I have firsthand experience of staying in the Bigg Boss house and can confirm that the video is edited. The furnishings depicted, including the lamp and blanket, do not match those in the house. Those familiar with the house will recognize the footage as fabricated,” Payal Malik asserted.
As the situation develops, stakeholders, including the show’s producers and authorities, face mounting pressure to address these concerns. The incident has sparked a broader debate about the implications of reality TV content on young viewers and the need for more stringent regulatory measures.
