South Asian University (SAU) has officially started its admission process for the 2025-26 academic session. Established by SAARC nations, SAU aims to provide world-class higher education opportunities to students across South Asia. This year, the university has expanded its academic offerings and enhanced its infrastructure to meet global education standards.
New Academic Programs and Courses at South Asian University
To cater to evolving industry demands, SAU has introduced specialized B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), including:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML)
- Business Systems & Intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Data Science & AI
Additionally, the university has launched a B.Tech program in Mathematics & Computing, designed to equip students with advanced computational and analytical skills. For those interested in interdisciplinary studies, SAU now offers integrated BS-MS and BBA-MBA programs.
Keeping up with global education trends, SAU has introduced a one-year Master’s program for students with a four-year undergraduate degree. The university also offers a wide range of postgraduate courses, including MBA, Executive MBA, MCA, M.Tech, MSc (Computer Science), MSc Biotechnology, MA Sociology, MA International Relations, MA Economics, and LLM. To strengthen research and academic excellence, SAU has expanded its PhD programs and introduced an Executive PhD for working professionals.
Admissions to various programs will be based on SAU’s entrance exam, along with scores from recognized national-level exams in SAARC countries. In India, students can apply based on CUET, JEE Mains, and CAT scores. For international applicants, SAU provides an option to take a secure, proctored online entrance test from their home countries.

In a move towards inclusive and flexible education, SAU has launched its Virtual Campus, offering online degree and certification programs. These courses maintain the same academic rigor and faculty expertise as their on-campus counterparts, ensuring quality education for a broader audience.
