Earlier in the day, Servin Sebastian opened India’s medal count with a bronze in the men’s 20km race walk, clocking 1:21:13.60—just short of his personal best (1:21:23) achieved at the Uttarakhand National Games. China’s Wang Zhaozhao took gold (1:20:36.90), and Japan’s Kento Yoshikawa won silver (1:20:44.90). Fellow Indian walker Amit finished fifth with a time of 1:22:14.30.
