Spotify is moving beyond being only a music streaming software and is planning to add a few new features similar to those seen on social media platforms. Spotify has recently added a new comment section to its platform, allowing users to connect directly with podcasters without the necessity of a third-party software.
Spotify recently updated its Spotify for Podcasters mobile app, enabling podcast hosts to manage their programs and communicate with their followers via the app or the desktop version. You may be wondering what this feature is and how it may be used.
The app is attempting to shift its image from being solely a music streaming app to one that also streams audio. Let’s take a look at this new feature and how it can assist increase engagement.
Spotify: A Guide to the Comment Feature
Listeners can interact with your podcast through comments, which makes them co-developers of the show. Participation and feedback from them can help you improve your material, generate fresh concepts and ideas, and gain insightful knowledge about what they find interesting and would like to hear more from you.
You can generate, update, and manage listener feedback for your show on the Comments tab of the online and mobile app.
Sorted by most recent episode, you may instantly examine all of the published listener comments for your program. Click “show all” to view every comment made on an episode for a more thorough examination. Additionally, by selecting the Polls subtab, you can include a poll in an already-published episode.

Before being displayed on the episode page, all comments need to be authorized by the creators. The new Comments tab’s “Needs review” area is where you can review these.
To make your favorite comments automatically go live, simply like and respond to them. Alternatively, you can approve each remark separately by clicking the checkmark icon.
Comments will be kept private until they are approved by the hosts. Creators can hide comments, enable them for select episodes, or turn them on for the whole program. They can also track their statistics and growth in real time. Spotify will notify podcast creators if their show appears on a chart or reaches a certain number of listens. Creators can also create Countdown Pages to generate excitement for a release.
