Teen’s Hunger Strike for iPhone Sparks Online Backlash Against Flower Seller’s Family

New Delhi : Parents can go to any extent to make their children happy, but sometimes a child’s stubbornness can cause unintended harm to the family. In a recent incident that has sparked widespread outrage online, a teenager from a modest background pressured his parents into buying him an iPhone by going on a hunger strike.

The boy, whose mother sells flowers outside a temple, refused to eat for three days after his parents declined his request for the expensive smartphone. His drastic action eventually led his mother to give in and provide the money for the iPhone, a decision that has garnered significant criticism on the internet.

A video of the incident has gone viral, showing the boy’s mother explaining the situation. The video was shared on social media by a user named ‘Incognito’ with the caption, “This idle boy stopped eating and demanded an iPhone from his mother. His mother finally relented and gave him money, despite selling flowers outside a temple to make living. Too much love can spoil children; parents must know where to draw the line. This is harsh, but no parent deserves a child like this.”
