A video of Tej Pratap Yadav, the son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav, has surfaced online, showing him pushing aside a party worker from the stage during an event. Tej Pratap was accompanying his sister, Misa Bharti, as she filed her nomination papers for the Patliputra seat on Monday. The siblings were seen on stage, acknowledging supporters during the nomination process.
In the video, Tej Pratap is seen forcefully pushing the RJD worker, causing him to almost fall off the stage. Other workers then intervened and removed the worker from the stage.
Following the circulation of the video, Tej Pratap clarified on social media (formerly Twitter) that it was not his intention to push the worker, but he felt compelled to do so at that moment.

“The public is of utmost importance to me. It is our duty to respect the public,” he stated in his post.
“To those who are circulating my video, I want to say that every story has two sides. You have seen one side. On the other side, the candidate Misa Bharti and my mother were together when he intervened and pushed me. My hand was injured. He pushed me, and I had to push him aside to protect myself. I never intended to harm anyone,” Yadav further explained.
After filing the nomination papers, Misa Bharti criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the central government has not done anything for Bihar.
“PM Modi has been in power for the past 10 years; he has been given two opportunities by the people. If he had done something for the country, he would not need to hold roadshows,” she remarked.
In 2014, Ram Kripal Yadav found himself in disagreement with Lalu Yadav’s decision to nominate Misa Bharti for the Patliputra seat. This disagreement led him to reassess his loyalties, eventually leading him to join the BJP.
