New Delhi, 19th May, 2024 :
Popular across the country, CBOA leader Ravi Kumar visited the national capital and held a series of meetings with the association members and senior officials of the Canara Bank.
In his address, the General Secretary of Canara Bank Officers’ Association (CBOA) listed the achievements of Canara Bank and sought suggestions to further improve the bank’s services, and welfare of the employees.
The suggestions will be put with the management for consideration, Kumar said to the employees at a meeting organised by Joint General Secretary Shiv Shankar at the Government Business Branch in New Delhi.
Quoting Canara Bank’s tagline “Together We Can,” he gave a call to make the institution one of the top lenders globally.
With the collective efforts of each employee, today the bank ranks in the list of top 4 lenders in India, Kumar noted.
“In FY24, our bank has crossed Rs 20 lakh crore business mark. This achievement has been possible only because of your tireless efforts and the guidance of senior management,” Kumar said.
Speaking further, the General Secretary suggested the employees to maintain a balance between work and family.
A person with work and without family life is useless. Similarly, a person with family and no work as income source is a burden. “We are blessed to have an institution like Canara Bank to work with and our families to look after,” Kumar said.
He said if anyone does something offensive, then alongwith him/her their entire family suffers. Similarly, if one’s conduct is questionable, then his offenses will surely attract a bad name to the institution where he works.
“Keep the bank’s image in mind. One can’t just get away saying it’s his/her personal life. One can’t just doing offenses keeping bank’s image at stake,” the GS said.
The general secretary along with his team also met the Chief General Manager (CGM) R K Singh at Delhi Circle office of the bank.
