At the 43rd India International Trade Fair in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, products made by the Kalyani Self-Help Group from Pal village, Jodhpur, have become a highlight. These items showcase the strength of women empowerment.
Visitors, especially women, are visiting their stall to hear inspiring stories of how these women became self-reliant through their skills. People are amazed to learn how their dedication and hard work have not only uplifted their lives but also created jobs for thousands. The group shared how they turned their efforts and vision into reality, proving the saying “from floor to fortune.”
Jaipuri Quilts: A Buyer’s Favorite
Jaipuri quilts are a hit at the Rajasthan Pavilion. Known for their lightweight, softness, and warmth, they are in high demand. Abdul Rauf, a quilt maker, shared that this craft has been passed down for generations in his family. The quilts are made using premium-quality cotton and come in a variety of modern and traditional Rajasthani designs. Customers love the range of colors, patterns, and styles, including fiber-filled and zari-bordered quilts.
Bandhani Sarees and Accessories in High Demand
The pavilion’s Bandhani sarees and dupattas are drawing crowds, with many women purchasing these traditional items. Anju from Kailasar village in Churu district said that these sarees are especially popular among women. Similarly, Mobita from Dabala village in Bundi district reported good sales of her handcrafted lac bangles, necklaces, and other accessories.
From exquisite textiles to traditional crafts, the Rajasthan Pavilion continues to captivate visitors with its rich cultural heritage.
