As per the latest notification from fuel retailers on September 18, petrol and diesel prices remained consistent across major cities. Most Indian oil companies have maintained nearly identical petrol and diesel prices in major cities, making only minor adjustments.

Currently, in Noida, petrol is priced at Rs 97.00 per liter, and diesel costs Rs 90.14 per liter. In Ghaziabad, diesel is priced at Rs 96.58 per liter, and petrol is available at Rs 89.75 per liter. In Lucknow, petrol is selling for Rs 96.57 per liter, and diesel is priced at Rs 89.76 per liter.

Petrol and diesel prices in different cities are as follows:

In Delhi, Petrol Rs 96.72 per liter, Diesel Rs 89.62 per liter.
In Mumbai, Petrol Rs 106.31 per liter, Diesel Rs 94.27 per liter.
In Chennai, Petrol Rs 102.63 per liter, Diesel Rs 94.24 per liter.
In Kolkata, Petrol Rs 106.03 per liter, Diesel Rs 92.76 per liter.
It’s important to note that oil marketing companies like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum determine daily petrol and diesel prices in India based on global crude oil prices.

Why Do Fuel Prices Vary Between States?
Revised fuel rates are announced daily at 6 AM, but these prices differ from one state to another due to various factors, including Value Added Tax (VAT), freight charges, and local taxes.

How to Check Fuel Prices via SMS?
Customers can check daily petrol and diesel prices through SMS. Indian Oil customers can send an SMS with RSP and their city code to 9224992249, BPCL customers can obtain information by sending an SMS to 9223112222 with the message RSP and their city code, while HPCL consumers can learn the daily prices by sending HPPrice and their city code to 9222201122.
