Bilawal Bhutto embarrassed in the U.S. as muslim journalist counters his Anti-India remark

Former Pakistan Foreign Minister’s Islamophobia allegation against India backfires as Muslim Army officer leads Operation Sindoor briefing
Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari faced an embarrassing moment in the United States after he made controversial remarks targeting India over its anti-terror operation named Operation Sindoor.
Speaking at a press briefing at the United Nations in New York, Bilawal indicted India of promoting Islamophobia following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians. He contended that Indian authorities were targeting Muslims under the guise of public security and likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programs to those of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming India was designedly raising indigenous pressures.
Still, his narrative was snappily challenged by a Muslim journalist present at the briefing. The journalist refocused out that the sanctioned briefing on Operation Sindoor was conducted by Colonel Sophia Qureshi, a Muslim woman officer in the Indian Army, which left Bhutto visibly unsettled, and he reportedly had no response.
The discrepancy between Bhutto’s claims and the reality of India’s inclusive representation undercut the Pakistani leader’s argument. India had entrusted the briefing to two women officers, Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, accompanied by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, showcasing the country’s commitment to diversity and merit over religious identity.
Bhutto was in the U.S. to represent Pakistan’s station on Operation Banyan ul- Marsus, launched by Islamabad in response to India’s Operation Sindoor. During his address, he reiterated Pakistan’s call for peace while contemporaneously advising of the troubles of rising pressures between two nuclear-fortified neighbours.
India, still, has constantly rejected what it calls “nuclear blackmail” by Pakistan, affirming its zero- forbearance station on cross-border terrorism. Officers in New Delhi maintain that Operation Sindoor was a licit counter-terror measure and that any comparison with intolerance- suchlike tactics is unwarranted.
