In the midst of a monsoon fury across north India, the Yamuna’s water level in Delhi has reached an all-time high. Numerous riverbank places have flooded as a result of the rising water mark. The river has passed the record level of 207.49 meters that it reached 45 years ago and is currently flowing at 207.55 meters.
Homes and markets have been swamped by the overflowing river, severely impacting locals’ quality of life. Now that the water level is increasing, several of the adjacent households have transferred their stuff to the terrace while helplessly gazing at it.
Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, has immediately scheduled an urgent meeting. He had previously stated that the Delhi government was ready to handle any situation brought on by the monsoon wrath. Public gatherings are now subject to limitations imposed by Delhi Police.
