Actor Shreyas Talpade was urgently taken to the hospital on Thursday evening after displaying symptoms of a heart attack. The 47-year-old, who was filming for his upcoming movie ‘Welcome To The Jungle,’ began feeling unwell on set and was promptly admitted to Mumbai’s Bellevue Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Following confirmation from doctors that he had suffered a heart attack during the film shoot, Shreyas underwent angioplasty. He had commenced shooting for Firoz A Nadiadwala’s film the previous Wednesday, alongside co-stars such as Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawl, Tusshar Kapoor, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Krushna Abhishek, and others. Shreyas is now in improved condition but has reportedly not yet been discharged from the ICU. The actor will be taking a hiatus from his film commitments to focus on a full recovery and plans to return in better health, ready to bring joy to the audience.
On Wednesday evening, Akshay Kumar announced the start of the filming for ‘Welcome 3’ at a Mumbai film studio, sharing a behind-the-scenes video featuring Shreyas engaging in a humorous scene with his co-stars.
However, news reports the following day indicated that Shreyas had been hospitalized due to a heart issue, later confirmed to be a heart attack requiring angioplasty.
Earlier this year, actress Sushmita Sen disclosed that she experienced a heart attack while filming for ‘Aarya 3’ in Rajasthan. Like Shreyas, she was 47 at the time and had to undergo angioplasty. Sen shared details of her health journey on Instagram, stating, “I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back… Angioplasty done… stent in place… and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart (sic).'”
