#An Indian-American teenage student who had gone missing in Texas was located following an extensive search conducted by the Frisco Police Department.

The Frisco Police confirmed that they successfully located 17-year-old Ishika Thakore after she was reported missing. Her disappearance contributed to a concerning trend of missing Indian individuals in the United States. Authorities initiated the search after she left her residence on Brownwood Drive in Frisco around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, she was wearing a black colour long-sleeve shirt and red/green pajama. She is approx 5.4 feet tall.

In an official update shared on Twitter, the Frisco Police stated, “LOCATED – The 17-year-old who was the subject of our Critical Missing Alert from earlier today has been located. We’d like to thank everyone for the offers of assistance and words of support.”

Recent incidents involving missing Indian Americans in the U.S. have raised significant safety concerns. Mohammed Abdul Arfath, a 25-year-old student, was tragically found deceased in Cleveland after being reported missing. Similarly, a student name, Neel Acharya of Purdue University, met a similar incident after being reported missing. These incidents echo the disappearance of a 25-year-old Indian-American woman in Texas last year, whose body was discovered in Oklahoma. These events have prompted heightened scrutiny of the safety and security of Indian Americans residing in the U.S., with authorities actively investigating to understand the circumstances surrounding these tragic incidents.
